Other Professional Experience and Community Engagement
2025-Present / Art Instructor, The Art House, St. Augustine, FL.
Designed curriculum, syllabi, and executed Art 100, Art 200, and Art 300 in a 38-week semester series of drawing, painting, and clay handbuilding for after-school and homeschool students aged 5-14. Other courses designed and taught include Adult Observational Drawing, Adult Beginners Watercolor, Adult Intermediate Watercolor, Portraiture and Figure Drawing, and themed Kids & Teen Camps.
2023-24 / Visiting Artist and Art Instructor, Fine Arts Institute, East High School, Green Bay, WI.
Met 2 hours per week after-school with students in grades 9-12 from September-May; designed a unique curriculum for students to explore traditional and non-traditional forms and advanced techniques. Projects included handmade pastels, charcoal, india ink, and collage, plein air acrylic painting, and collaborative inflatable sculptures.
2021-23 / Manager, MFA Graduate Studios (Gradhaus), School of Art + Art History, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. Supervised by Annemarie Furlong.
Responsibilities included assisting with install and de-installs in 6,000 ft shared studio and critique space, including lighting and technology needs; conducting orientations; maintaining health and safety protocols and monitoring for infractions; scheduling usage of shared spaces; ordering supplies, and being the point of contact between students and the university.
2019 / Art Faculty, Camp Adler, Adler Arts Center, Libertyville, IL.
Taught 8 theme-based fine art classes over the course of 6 weeks. Classes included Famous Forgeries, Portraiture, Funky Fabric Art, Art Unknown, Mixed-Up Modernism, Wild Wild West, Through the Looking Glass (Puppetry and Performance), and All Together Now (Collaborative Art). Responsibilities included constructing a 2D/3D curriculum and unit plan for each class, developing supply inventory, and requesting orders for supplies within budget.
